Deep 2 Deep
Wow... The week rattles by! Last weeked was the Deep to Deep meet up in the UK. Lots of church-playing bassists hanging out together. Wulf has a write up and took some great photos.

I have always wanted a double bass, but with me using a pick for playing my bass I get put off, as I feel that I will have to learn a new technique with my fingers from scratch and the fact that they are massive, do not think my mum would approve of me bringing one of them home.
Expensive too, I could go on all day, one day I would like a double bass though, be cool!
If you really want to get into upright bass, you could try one of the Stagg (or Eastcoast) badged EUBs. Pretty cheap, decent sounding and a good way to figure out if a more significant investment might be worthwhile further down the line.
